Greetings, neighbors!
Rob Mach, CEODuring my six months on the Arbor Health team, I have found the East Lewis County community to be very welcoming. My wife, Amy, and I purchased a house a few months ago, and we are enjoying the process of making it our home.
I am also enjoying my job as the Arbor Health administrator. I find the health system to be one of real quality and operated by people who care like crazy about their patients and their community.
However, there is room for growth. I believe we need to continue adding new services over the next several years. We recently replaced our CT scanner, and we are in the process of purchasing a new MRI unit, which will enable us to provide services five days a week rather than the weekly appointments with a visiting portable unit.
We also need to keep our eyes focused on the challenges of bringing in more revenue. Small hospitals are closing every month across the country, and we know that for us to remain viable, we need to be strong financially.
Strategies for the Future
- Explore opportunities to provide a wider range of health care services, such as in our outpatient services, rehabilitation program and specialty clinic.
- Continue physician recruitment.
- Develop partnerships with local providers or health systems to expand service offerings.
- Expand telehealth services to reach patients in remote areas.
- Build strong relationships with the local community to increase patient loyalty and support.
Arbor Health is here to serve you. Our mission is "to foster trust and nurture a healthy community." Likewise, our vision is "to provide the very best care to every patient and be the best employer to every employee." We take these principles seriously and are working hard to live up to them.
