Description:
This position is responsible for performing diagnostic mammographic procedures and patient safety protocols and the successful accomplishment of their mammogram. Participates in quality improvement activities.
Minimum qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred, Graduation from Radiologic Technology Program.
- Washington State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist license, ARRT registry in Mammography
- One year practical experience, preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.
- Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure- makes appropriate physician contact for intervention. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
- Responsible for the safe handling of equipment.
- Keeps procedure room clean and neat, makes minor equipment adjustments as needed.
- Assists in maintaining records and reports.
- Interacts professionally with patient/family.
- Follows guidelines as established at time of assignment.
- Accepts assignments willingly.
- Prioritizes workload to assure completion of assignments.
- Asks appropriate clarifying questions relative to scope of assignment.
- Provides status reports to supervisor on assignments.
- Preforms other related duties as assigned.

*This position receives an additional $1.50/hour on the base, for multiple modalities (ex. Xray & Mammo)
Benefits Include:
Additional 15% (on base wage) in lieu of benefits and Paid Sick Leave accrual (.025/hr)
Salary Range:
This is a union position on the union wage scale (24 steps) and the selected candidate will be placed on the wage scale at the years of experience per the contract. Step 1: $36.47/hr (+$1.50 if 2 modalities), Step 12: $44.74/hr (+$1.50 if 2 modalities) Step 24: $56.07/hr (+$1.50 if 2 modalities))
