Back to Summer 2026
Dear Arbor Health community
This year is moving ahead quickly, and the first four months of 2026 are already behind us. As spring unfolds, the flowers of the season emerge—small but inspiring reminders of renewal and new beginnings.
In my fall letter, I shared three areas of focus for our organization: People, Quality and Finance. This year, we are excited to add a fourth area: Innovation. Innovation is a focus on exploring new technologies, rethinking how we work, and continually improving as we strive "to provide every patient the best care and every employee the best place to work."
A central priority this year continues to be the development of our strategic plan. In March, we held a Board Visioning Session with our commissioners focused on shaping a long-term vision for Arbor Health. As we plan for the future, our commitment remains clear: to keep essential services available locally and to continue serving as our community's gateway to exceptional health care.
One uplifting highlight is our Emergency Department receiving a four-star rating based on patient satisfaction—for the second year in a row in 2026. We are incredibly proud of our outstanding emergency caregivers for their dedication, and we deeply appreciate our patients, whose feedback reflects the excellent care they receive.
We are genuinely optimistic about what lies ahead for Arbor Health. With dedicated staff, engaged commissioners and a supportive community, we remain steadfast in our commitment to provide accessible, high-quality care for all who need it.
Very best regards,
Eric "Max" Neal, CEO, Arbor Health
