Back to Summer 2024Providing You With the Best Care—Now and in the Future
Arbor Health has been making the news lately—not for hardships or failures, but for growth and accomplishments in providing quality care.
We were recently surprised to see Arbor Health—Morton Hospital sandwiched between the likes of University of Washington Medicine, Kaiser Permanente and MultiCare in an award announcement for quality. We shouldn’t have been surprised, though—our patients often tell us we’re doing an amazing job.
The announcement was for the Trailblazer Award given by the Foundation for Healthcare Quality, awarded “for exemplary work in the adherence to best practices.” Arbor Health was selected among small/rural hospitals.
So what does this mean for you, our community? Adherence to best practices means that we follow the guidelines for the best way to treat you. And we put policies, procedures and processes in place to guide us as we provide the very best care. So whether you are a patient today or in the future, this is vitally important to your well-being.
Paving a path of excellence
The Trailblazer Award was announced just six months after we were awarded the Washington State Hospital Association Critical Access Hospital Achievement of Quality Award. We were one of 13 hospitals in the state to receive the award “for participating in its Critical Access Hospital Achievement of Quality Excellence Program and delivering outstanding care to their communities.”
Most recently, G. Parker Peresko, DPM, our foot and ankle surgeon, received an extraordinary honor. He was recognized as a top-performing doctor for his excellent performance in providing quality care.
It’s an exciting time to be a part of Arbor Health—and an exciting time to be caring for our community. In another story, CEO Robert Mach details the advancements we’ve recently made in diagnostic excellence with top-of-the-line medical imaging equipment.
It all adds up to providing you the very best care.
