Back to Fall 2025

Dear Arbor Health community

As I have made the difficult decision to step down from my role as CEO, I am filled with gratitude and pride for the journey we have shared. When I first joined Arbor Health, we faced numerous challenges—but, together, we have transformed our hospital and clinics into beacons of hope and excellence.

One of the most significant improvements has been our financial stability. When I started, we had just 29 days of cash on hand. Today, we stand strong with 63 days of cash on hand, a testament to our collective efforts and strategic planning.

Our service offerings have expanded remarkably. We now provide specialized cardiology services and increased access in our rural health clinics, ensuring that our patients receive the best care possible. Additionally, we have invested in state-of-the-art equipment, including a new CT scanner and ultrasound equipment, enhancing our diagnostic capabilities and overall patient care.

However, the most profound change has been in our culture. We have fostered an environment where every patient is treated with the utmost compassion, as if they were our own family members. This change in how we approach patient care has not only improved outcomes but has also created a sense of belonging and unity among our staff. Every employee, I hope, now feels like part of a family, dedicated to the well-being of our community.

As I bid farewell, I want to express my deepest appreciation to each of you. Your unwavering support, dedication and hard work have been the driving force behind our success. Arbor Health is now a stronger, more resilient institution, ready to face the future with confidence.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this incredible journey. I will always cherish the memories and the progress we have made together.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Rob Mach, FACHE
