Biography
Jason Whitney, MSN ARNP, FNP, was hired to be the medical provider at the new Packwood Clinic, on its opening. His hiring actually timed out a little early, which worked out well for Arbor Health as he was able to temporarily fill a vacancy at the Randle Clinic while the Packwood Clinic building was being remodeled for opening.
Jason can almost be considered a local, having grown up and graduated from high school in Castle Rock. A US Army veteran, his first medical-career education was through the US Army X-ray Technology Program in San Antonio, Texas in 1993. He utilized that training in diagnostic care for both adult and pediatric patients until 1997.
From there, he began a career in nursing, starting at Lower Columbia University for his Registered Nurse Degree before completing, first a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, and then a Master of Science in Nursing from the Western Governors University before moving on to his Family Nurse Practitioner Degree from the Indiana State University.
Prior to coming to Arbor Health, Jason worked in family medicine for Peace Health at the St. John Medical Center in Longview. In addition to being an experienced with adults and pediatric patients, he came to us with great experience in trauma and pediatric emergency education.
