“One Team, One Mission”
“This goes out in appreciation of all the extra shifts Rhonda picks up to help the team. She is really growing in her Charge Nurse roll and ER experience. She has saved the day (night) more times than I can count, and I am so grateful. She gets us through the rough patches at the start of the shift and is always ready to help as needed. This is long overdue and her picking up shifts is always appreciated, so many times I have wondered how we would have managed without her willingness to give a lending hand to the team.”

“Jennifer is always willing to help the Rehab Department out. When we have had staff call out for illness, emergency, or vacation, she has come to our aid. "One team, one mission" is what she has demonstrated by her actions, words, and deeds. She has gone above and beyond to help with the team. She helped with easing the workload for all the clerical staff and has helped get patients on the schedule for therapy in a timely manner. She is a sweetheart not only to all the staff here at the Rehab Department but to the patients as well. Her concern for her co-workers has been amazing. She is one of a kind and I am so glad that she has joined our team.”
Jayme Gawlik, Rehabilitation Services Scheduler
“On more occasions that I can count, Jennifer has volunteered to come in on her day off to help cover an illness, family emergency, vacation or other unforeseen event where extra help was needed. Our team counts on each other, and everyone knows that they have each other's back. She has helped get the work done, decreased patient wait times and scheduling. Jennifer is an outstanding teammate. Super proud to be her leader.”

“Care like crazy”
Nominated by: Christy Filer
“I wish I could select at least two of these core values because Dr. Anderson and his staff definitely went out of their way to make my mother and myself as comfortable as possible. My mom was in the ED on Jan 22. Dr. Anderson was constantly concerned about my mom's wishes and the family comfort. He allowed me to sit with her and hold her hand to calm her. He further permitted my aunt and grandmother to come in the room to speak to mom, expressing their love and concern. She was very ill and ultimately ended up passing away at VM in Seattle on the 25th. I can only speak to how it made myself and my family feel and the impact it had on us. I would hope that anyone that hears about it, or witnessed any part of the day would be impressed. I felt very humbled to be treated with such dignity and respect. The biggest impact this day had on me was that I had a golden opportunity to learn how to be a better caring, compassionate and considerate healthcare worker. I don't recall all the other individuals involved, but I do know that they were all amazing. Dr. Anderson, as the head of this team, gets my utmost respect and admiration for leading his team, setting a superior example, and providing excellent medical care to my mother.”

“On more occasions that I can count, Genevieve has volunteered to come in on her day off the help cover an illness, family emergency, vacation or other unforeseen event where extra help was needed. One time she was already in town and came over in about 10 min. When vacations need to be covered, she is always willing to work extra. It has a huge impact on our team. When there are unforeseen absences, it creates more work and our team just steps up constantly. So glad Genevieve is part of our team.”

“Maddie has worked relentlessly with Eli and Michelle Eastman to solve the problem we had with the referral process, specifically within the surgery department. Maddie has trained all the medical assistants in the Morton Clinic who will be using this new process and has created a standard workflow to put in the clinic’s file as well. This process will help with patient satisfaction as communication and processes regarding surgeries will be streamlined and more efficient.”

Core Values: “Go out of your way to brighten someone’s day.”
Nominated by: Diane Markham
“In recent conversations with two former Extended-Care Rehab patients, both pointed to Doris as a staff member who was super supportive during their long, difficult recoveries. Both mentioned her by name and said how encouraging she was to them when she was cleaning their rooms. Doris is an amazing example of what it is to go out your way to brighten someone’s day as well as striving to motivate others. She has amazing impact on our patients’ morale and feeling of accomplishment and she always strives to be a bright spot in their days."

Nominated by: Matthew Lindstrom
“Will has been consistent in his approach to strengthen his own team and build relationships among his peers and other departments. He approaches everything with a positive attitude. In addition to everything he is already working on, Will consistently checks in with me, and asks if there is anything he can do to help on my end. Our state fire marshal has commented and complimented about the direction our team has moved. Not only is Will constantly demonstrating “one team, one mission” here at Arbor Health, but he has developed those relationships into a bigger scope as we work with regulatory bodies and municipal partners to provide the best environment possible to our patients, staff, and visitors. He is diligent in developing good relationships across the board. He is supportive of his team and is quick to jump in and help where needed. This is true whether he is painting a wall or helping organize documents for surveys.”
