Arbor Health readies to open Packwood Clinic

MORTON, Wash. –Arbor Health, the parent organization of Morton Hospital, Rapid Care Clinic and Morton, Mossyrock, and Randle primary care clinics, will add one more primary care clinic to the list by the year’s end.
The East Lewis County-based health system reaffirmed their commitment last week to open a facility in Packwood. The clinic is planned to open in the Peter’s Inn building located at 13051 US Hwy 12 in Packwood. The clinic will be open four days a week, initially staffed by one full-time medical provider with support staff.
Jason Whitney, ARNP, has been hired to be the primary medical provider. He comes to the position with a wealth of experience in both pediatric and adult family medicine. Prior to joining the Arbor Health medical staff, he worked for Peace Health at St. John’s Medical Center in Longview.
Arbor Health CEO Leianne Everett and Facilities Director Matthew Lindstrom met with the property developers on July 6 to review the building’s remodel and Arbor Health’s intended uses.
“The eventual plan is to add additional outpatient services such as physical therapy,” Everett said in a prepared statement. “I speak for both the administration and the board of commissioners when I say that we are thrilled to be able to open this clinic. It has been on our radar for years and I know it has been the hope of many community members to have medical services return to their hometown. We could not be happier to fulfill those dreams.”
